WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Athletic Club is challenging six residents to lose some weight.
The athletic center is holding an 8-week weight-loss competition called, "Lose a Ton Wilmington."
Contestants will work out with a personal trainer four or five times a week and attend a weekly weigh-in on Saturdays.
"[We want to] make everybody active, make everybody healthy and just get the word out that they need to be exercising right and changing their lifestyle," said WAC master trainer Sheri Albertson.
The public can vote for their favorite contestants online, and the winner of the challenge will receive a year-long gym membership.
