WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Local churches and members of the Veteran's Association provided breakfast and lunch to about 300 homeless people for the 10th year.
The volunteers served the food at the VFW in Wilmington.
Officials from the health department and social services were among the 30 local and state agencies involved in providing other free services.
"I think so many people as they were checking out today were telling me about the wonderful resources and how they were able to benefit from everything," said event organizer Catrecia McCoy-bowman.
The homeless services event is held every spring.
