BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The first town commissioners meeting took place in the new Town Hall in Holden Beach Tuesday night.

The 14,000 square foot building was built in just about a year, and cost about $3 million.

The building also houses the town's police department.

"Now we have a facility where everyone is housed in one place," said Holden.  "Everyone knows where it is. Any needs that our citizens or visitors have can be answered right in this one place."

Mayor Alan Holden said the town will host an official grand opening ceremony sometime in the next few months.
