WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Tuesday night at UNC-Wilmington, close to 100 people from little ones to adults got together for a giant game of tag. The University's Sports Clubs Council organized the event.
They were hoping to break a Guinness world record for largest game of tag. They needed 200 people to beat the record, but organizers said the questionable weather put a damper on attendance. Nevertheless, the squeals of delight from tag participants showed everyone had a great time.
The Sports Clubs Council may hold a similar event next year and try to take on the record once again.
American Cancer Society and Relay for Life officials were on hand at the game. Students collected money for the Relay for Life.
