Shrimp Creole Recipe...

SHRIMP CREOLE RECIPE

1 lb. Shrimp (medium peeled and deveined)     

 1 cup diced onion      

2 tbs. dried oregano  

2 cups crushed tomatoes  

1 tsp. cayenne pepper  

4tbs melted butter   

2  cups diced celery

1 cup sliced green pepper

 2 tbs. minced garlic

2 tbs. sweet basil  

1-cup chicken broth

salt & pepper to taste

 

1) Heat a small pot to medium heat. Add 4 tbs. melted butter, 1 lb. of shrimp and sauté until done.

2) Season with garlic, salt & pepper to taste. Add vegetables and stir.

3) Season with basil, oregano and cayenne pepper. Add crushed tomatoes and chicken broth and simmer until hot.

4) Serve over a bed of rice.
