WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - With commercial bankruptcies on the rise some brides and grooms are getting left at the altar by their vendors.
The better business bureau says wedding insurance is a great way to protect yourself. If a vendor goes out of business you'll be able to at least get your deposit back.
"You do need to do your research," said "A Carolina Wedding" Consultant Heather Ivady. "Look at your [insurance] policy, read every contract, especially now with the economy."
Insurance is usually a small charge compared to the cost of a wedding.
