WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Miley Cyrus may soon be shooting a movie in Wilmington.
Industry insiders say film incentives could be the deciding factor on whether or not it happens.
Georgia is also in the running to land the production and some say Georgia's tax incentive package, which is double North Carolina's, may lure the production away from the Port City.
Cyrus's new movie "The Last Song" will be based on a script by author Nicolas Sparks.
Bill Vassar, the Executive Vice President of Screen Gems Studios, says he is still hopeful the film will come to Wilmington.
