WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - UNCW's Communication Studies Society held its 7th Annual Dress for Success Fashion Show Friday.

Students from the Communication Studies department modeled apparel from Banana Republic in the Warwick Center Ballroom.

The show is a fun way to help educate students on the proper way to dress for an interview and in the workplace.

In addition to the fashion show, students could attend various panels and networking sessions to learn more about success in the business world.

Below is the Communication Studies Department's prescription for success:

Women

  • if wearing pants, make sure they are creased & tailored, not tight or flowing
  • wear a neutral color blouse that is not low cut
  • wear hosiery that is a color close to your skin tone
  • closed toe shoes with heels that are two inches or less
