WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Corning has announced it will be rehiring some of it's laid off employees.
In February, the technology component company announced that it would cut 15 percent of its workforce, but now Corning is reevaluating the need for cell phones, laptops, and mobile networks in China and say they need more people.
It is unclear at this point how many people Corning will rehire, but they will all come from the production division.
The employees are expected to restart work sometime in the summer.
