(WECT) - With 11 million people looking for work, your resume may not be the only thing employers are looking at.

A lot of companies are looking to slash costs by hiring younger people who will work for less money.

Veteran marketing and sales rep Sandra is healthy and dresses well, but she can't control her wrinkles.  So, she decided to do something after she became concerned for her job security.

"Someone may look at me now and think she's not willing to work that hard anymore which is not the truth at all," said Sandra.

That's why Sandra went for recession rejuvenation, which is receiving restylin in her smile lines.

A 2008 survey by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery shows 2/3 of American plastic surgeons treated men and women hoping to stay competitive in the work force.

Chicago plastic surgeon Steen Dayan said the unemployed have become an unconventional customer.

"We do see more patients coming to me saying, 'Doctor I've got a job interview coming up. What can I do to look my best?'" said Dayan.

These patients are opting to go under the needle instead of the knife to look their best.

Botox treatments are up 13% in one year nationwide, and restilyn treatments are up 35%.

While Sandra knows she can't botox her way to better job security, she is hoping her new-found confidence will lead to new opportunities down the road.

These non-surgical cosmetic procedures range in price from $300-$1,800.

While risks are minimal, you should consult your doctor before considering these treatments.
