WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A former New Hanover High School student died in a multi-car accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Wilmington, Oct. 7.
Authorities say a white Subaru Outback, that had been reported stolen Saturday, ran a red light at approximately 100 mph and hit a white Chevy truck. The Subaru flipped nearly as high as a traffic light.
"I couldn't realize exactly what the impact was but then all of a sudden I just see the white car go end over end," said Karl Dewess, witness to the crash.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, 16-year-old Ajene Oshea Johnson was a passenger in the Subaru and was killed in the crash. He reportedly dropped out of New Hanover High School last year.
Police say Juwaun Howard Hill was driving the Subaru at the time of the accident.
Passengers Robert Kahli Williams and a 15-year-old student were taken to transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The 15-year-old has since been released, but as of Tuesday night Williams remained in serious condition.
26-year-old Michael Teel, who was driving the Chevy, was also taken to the hospital, but has since been released. Now, he's spending time with his family - something a lot of people take for granted.
Because of a concussion, Teel doesn't remember much about the wreck and how lucky he was to survive.
"I got a green arrow - I started to pull out and that's the last thing I remember," said Teel. "I talk to my wife about it, and it really sinks in with her more than it does me. It hasn't really sunk in how lucky I was."
Teel will undergo surgery to start repairing bones that were broken during the accident.
"I broke a clavicle, my wrist, two ribs in my back, and my T-one," said Teel.
Despite his injuries, Teel said he is not angry at the teens who were driving the stolen Subaru.
"I hope they can turn their lives around after this and do something good," said Teel.
Jessica Allen owned the Subaru that was stolen Sunday. She was thinking about the passengers and families of the passengers in her car.
"I'm sorry about their loss," said Allen. "Honestly, I mean, my car - you can get cars all the time, but to lose a child or to lose anybody is just tragic."
According to the Wilmington Police Department, the stolen car report is a separate criminal investigation that is being handled by WPD's Criminal Investigations Division.
