BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The North Carolina Real Estate Commission is investigating complaints against State Senator Julia Boseman.
The complaint stems from the actions involved in a private purchase agreement between the senator and couple buying her double-wide trailer in Winnabow.
Last fall, legal documents showed Boseman was still the owner of the home after the Castillos family thought they had purchased the property in 2005.
The couple had paid $25,000 on the property but court records showed the home was under foreclosure.
A judge later ruled the Castillos could make mortgage payments to the property.
The assistant director of the commission told the Star News investigators are just gathering information at this point, and that it doesn't mean Boseman has done anything wrong. They are trying to gain a better understanding of the transaction.
