WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A student at Myrtle Grove Middle School nominated their softball field for a makeover contest sponsored by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes.

The company is holding the competition in an effort to rebuild America's fields.

Myrtle Grove's softball field was chosen as a semi-finalist out of thousands nominated.  Among the 100 semi-finalists, 30 will be chosen as a finalist and receive a makeover.

Bailey Williams, a 7th grade student, recommended her school's softball field because she said it's difficult to play on.

Anyone 18 years or older with an email address can vote to help support this field.  Each person can vote once per day until May 31.

Go to frostedflakes.com to submit your vote.
