NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- New Hanover County Sheriff's Deputies are getting a new picture on their patches for their uniforms.
The current patch features the Battleship North Carolina.
The new one will also add the USS North Carolina Submarine.
Sheriff Sid Causey said one his deputies originally brought up the idea when it was announced that the sub would be commissioned in Wilmington.
Causey said the patch will be cycled in as new uniforms are purchased.
