COLUMBUS COUNTY -- Authorities arrested John McLeod, 60 years old, for forcing another resident to perform a sex act.

Shortly after that incident, Lake Waccamaw police arrested Jessica Fruth, 47 years old, and charged her with conspiracy to sell cocaine from her room.

According to the Waccamaw Village Assisted Living Center, McLeod and Fruth are no longer residents of the facility.

The Town Manager said he knew something was wrong when neighbors started complaining that residents were wandering around in their back yards.

Neighbors who live by the center are concerned for residents who live at the facility.  They said residents are constantly wandering in their back yards, and some walk along the busy stretch of Highway 214.

Nicole Long lives a few houses down from the facility, and said she's seen enough disturbing activity to write a book.

"I came home one day and found one of the residents naked in my pool," said Long.

The Town Manager said he'll meet with the Department of Social Services and the police to discuss reported problems about the facility.  Meanwhile, the Waccamaw Village will remain open.
