NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- Some students at a local elementary school are moving to a new school in the fall.
Ninety students currently attending classes at Anderson Elementary will be moved to Bellamy Elementary next year.
Many of the students used to attend Bellamy, but were moved to Anderson while work was being done on Bellamy.
Now, Anderson Elementary is over populated, which is why some students are going back to Bellamy.
"When you have other alternatives, Bellamy is a good school, they're both good schools, and Bellamy knows these kids and they'll welcome them and be glad to see them," said Dr. Rick Holliday, from New Hanover County schools.
Dr. Holliday said the school board will focus on making sure this group of students isn't moved again during future redistricting.
