WILMINGTON -- Below is a complete list of events around the Wilmington area.

Organizers say it's all part of an effort to remember what the day is all about.

"We want to rekindle the dream. During the struggles of jobs and feeding the kids, the dream has dwindled. We want to rekindle it, so Dr. King would be proud," said Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Event Coordinator Hollis Briggs.
