OCEAN ISLE BEACH -- The cause of the fire that killed seven college students last Sunday is expected to be announced.
At a 3 p.m. press conference on Friday, the mayor of Ocean Isle Beach is expected to release the findings of the SBI report that should say what caused the fire.
People continue to mourn the loss of the students. A makeshift memorial has been put up near the scene of the fire.
There will be a memorial service at Ocean Isle Beach Chapel on Sunday for the seven students. The service will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Be sure to check back on Friday afternoon for the results of the press conference.
