Wilmington idol Sarah Mather has returned from her trip to Hollywood after her time on American Idol.
The crowd that gathered at the Wilmington Airport Saturday welcomed Sarah with open arms and applause.
WECT's Elizabeth Willis also waited to greet Sarah as she got off the plane. Sarah told Elizabeth what she thought about being one of twenty-four finalists on "American Idol," and how she's dealing with being voted off this week.
"Twenty-three people are gonna get cut and one person's gonna win, so it just happened early on for me and I knew that either the audience was gonna go with the judges or against them because I had some pretty hard criticism and it just went that way. I kinda had prepared myself, but no regrets, it's been great," Mather said.
Mather performed for her Port City fans Sunday at Marrz Theater on Front Street in Wilmington.
