Sarah MatherJANUARY 20, 2005 -- If you've been watching the hit Fox series, "American Idol," you may have seen and heard a familiar talent from Wilmington.
Sarah Mather appeared on Tuesday night's season premiere, singing Aretha Franklin's classic "Rescue Me" at her audition in Washington D.C.
22-year-old Mather is originally from Canada, but moved to Wilmington after graduating from high school in Charlotte. She now works at a local day spa.
Friends say Mather has been in Los Angeles since Saturday, but can't talk about any of the details of her competition. We do know she made it on to the next round on the Fox TV show that airs on our sister station, Fox 26.
