Michelle Li is an evening anchor and reporter for Fox Wilmington News at 6:30, Fox Wilmington News at 10 and WECT News. Her work can also be seen nationally on the news magazine program, America Now.
In 2012, the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas named her Anchor of the Year.
Michelle has received many honors, including the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for writing. She has also been honored and nominated several times with a Regional Emmy. In 2010, Congress members awarded Michelle with an Angels in Adoption award for her dedication to foster care and international adoption causes. She has taken several volunteer trips to Korea, working with adoptive families and spending time in orphanages. In 2011, Michelle even accepted an invitation to share her own experiences as an adoptee at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in celebration of
Holt International's 55th anniversary.
Michelle grew up near Kansas City and studied journalism at the University of Kansas. She's passionate about volunteering, cooking and spending time with family. Michelle's husband, Jim, is also an Emmy-award winning journalist, and together, they have an 85-pound puppy named Minnie.
