LELAND, NC (WECT) - Doctors from Leland Pediatrics are reporting cases of upper respiratory infections and shigellosis in the area.

The upper respiratory infections often start as a cold which is viral. Symptoms include sinus pain, coughing and stuffy nose. If cold symptoms last for two weeks or more it could turn into a sinus infection which is bacterial.
