CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - Carolina Beach police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a fire at the SeaWitch Tiki Bar earlier this week, which caused at least $80,000 damage.
Robert Foltz is charged with burning a building and failure to register as a sex offender. Carolina Beach Police made the arrest late last night.
Each offense carries a $150,000 bond. Currently, Foltz is in the New Hanover County Jail.
County Fire Marshals say gasoline was not used in the fire. They suspect alcohol may have been used as an accelerant, but are waiting for further test results.

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – Though New Hanover County Sheriff's Deputies have not filed charges in a fire at the SeaWitch Café, the general manager believes someone intentionally set the blaze that damaged his tiki bar.
In fact, Joe Bostic says he thinks he knows exactly who is responsible. He thinks it is the act of an angry customer who couldn't get over being kicked out of the establishment earlier in the week.
According to the general manager, the customer was asked to not return to the business for being drunk and rude to staff. The next night, a fire caused more than $80,000 worth of damage to the tiki bar.
"I think it was based on someone's personal vendetta to the company and it's a shame someone has to be immature and try to damage someone property when there is no need for it," said Bostic.
Bostic said he doesn't know the full name of the man who he believes is responsible. No charges, suspects, or arrests have been made in the case and fire officials are staying tight lipped.
Forensic evidence was sent to the state lab in Raleigh is expected to be back in Wilmington Friday.
An arson also took place at the tiki bar in 2009. Additionally, four other arsons have taken place within a half mile of the location since 2005, including the destruction of the Hotel Astor. Restaurant management believes this is an isolated incident, unrelated to the other arsons.
