WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An incident in the sky Christmas Day is sparking talk about security all over the country and the world.
After a two-day clampdown, in-flight security rules are starting to ease.
At the captain's discretion, passengers can once again have blankets and other items on their laps or move about the cabin during the tail end of flight. Restrictions on in-flight entertainment systems that show the plane's path were also lifted.
President Obama is calling for a thorough review of the incident, but some passengers at ILM say they want him to take that a step further.
Until the TSA acts, there are no new security regulations for individual airports, other than to continue being vigilant and strictly following current procedures, according to officials at ILM.
Several passengers, however, are in support of tougher security measures, especially regarding international flights.
