BOLIVIA, NC (WECT) - If you're like most Americans, you probably have a medicine cabinet filled with half-used prescriptions from ailments of years past.
It's not always a good thing to just flush those unused pills. Wednesday, the sheriff's department in Brunswick County offered an opportunity for you to safely dispose of prescription medicine.
The department collected pill bottles of expired medicine or unused medication. The narcotics unit of the sheriff's department destroyed the medicine free of charge.
