WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A captain with the Wilmington Fire Department was arrested over the weekend for communicating threats, according to deputies at the New Hanover County Jail.
They said a woman who claims to be Thomas Dolan's mistress said the threats were made against her.
Dolan, who works out of the Seagate Fire Station, is a captain and is an acting battalion chief for the fire department.
Authorities said he bonded out as soon as he was arrested.
According to City spokeswoman Melissa Talbert, the consequences for a city employee arrested varies by situation. She also added Dolan's arrest had nothing to do with work.
