WILMNGTON, NC (WECT) - A Wilmington woman's 102 birthday wish came true after blowing out the candles - she wanted to ride a motorcycle.

Bessie Tancrelle was born in 1907 and said she has done just about all she could do.  But in 102 years of living she had never hopped on the back of a Harley.

The resident at Wilmington's Lake Shore Commons Retirement home was given the ride of her life on her birthday.

Bessie and her sister, Clara, put on their helmets and jumped into a Harley Davidson Anniversary Edition bike.

A group of Harley owners acted as her entourage for a ride around Greenfield Lake Park.

"It's been the most wonderful day of my life," said Bessie.

The birthday girl says she has now accomplished everything she's ever wanted to do.
