Though Clinton is in our conference, they are considered one of the toughest teams that Topsail will play this year. The Black Hats came into the game with great confidence after a tremendous victory over Swansboro on Homecoming night.
The Topsail High Men's soccer team has had two great wins this week. Monday, they beat Croatan 3-0. Wednesday night, the Pirates defeated Northside 8-1.
All three area teams that are inside the top ten moved up in the latest Associated Press high school football poll.
Heavy showers can be disheartening for some, but it didn't dampen the spirits for Black Hat fans. The game lived up to the hype and it was a nail biter from start to finish.
