WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A family home caught fire on Saurday morning, and fire crews extinguished the blaze with no injuries reported.
At 10:15 a.m. Saturday, the Wilmington Fire Department and New Hanover County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the 3200 block of Red Berry Drive in Wilmington, according to Assistant Chief Thomas Robinson, Jr.
Crews put out the fire by 10:45 a.m. with a rapid offense attack and ventilation operations. A total of nine fire units were on the scene.
The fire was able to be contained to the garage area, with final damages estimated to total around $30,000
The cause of the fire has since been ruled as accidental. The occupants of the house will be assisted by the American Red Cross if needed.
