CFCC to host forums on human trafficking
Cape Fear Community College will host a community event focused on protecting children from human trafficking on Tuesday, Feb. 5

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Cape Fear Community College will host a community event focused on protecting children from human trafficking on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

“Just Ask: Safeguarding out Children and Community from Human Trafficking” is being presented by the Not4$ale Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative, Community Involvement and Service-Learning Alliance, Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society, and the Honors Program at CFCC.

Bill Woolf, executive director of Just Ask and a former detective who directed the Human Trafficking Task Force in northern Virginia, will conduct four 75-minute forums on human trafficking and the safety of young people.

The event is free and open high school and college students, faculty, and staff. The presentation will be held four times during the day - 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The event is being held at Union Station (502 N. Front St.) in room U-170. Parking will be available in the L lot located at the corner of Second and Walnut streets.
