Wilmington Animal Centrix invites you to swing dance to save pets

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A new group is saving the lives of animals one step at a time.

Wilmington Animal Centrix is hosting Sock’s Hop, a swing dancing event, Fri., Jan. 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hannah Block Historic USO- Community Arts Center in downtown Wilmington.

The Cape Fear Swing Dance Society will give lessons.

Proceeds from this event will help Wilmington Animal Centrix provide vouchers to pet owners to spay and neuter their animals.

Wilmington Animal Centrix is a new non-profit that works to reduce the number of pets that need to be rescued.

The group helps pet owners pay to spay and neuter animals in Wilmington and surrounding communities. It also holds food and litter drives, fostering events and feral cat trapping programs.
