WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - UNCW sophomore guard Ty Gadsden is trying to battle back from injury.
Gadsden has missed the Seahawks’ last four games with a sports hernia but on Monday, Gadsden practiced for the first time since suffering the injury.
“He’s rusty because he hasn’t done anything for three and a half weeks,” UNCW coach C.B. McGrath said. “He looked good. I know defensively it doesn’t feel great, but he wasn’t playing cautiously.”
McGrath didn’t give a date for Gadsden’s possible return to play.
Gadsden last played in the Seahawks’ 97-69 loss at North Carolina on Dec. 5.
