WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Christmas is right around the corner and AAA predicts that nearly one third of the U.S population will be hitting the roads this holiday season.
They also forecast that 102.1 million Americans will travel to their destination by car this year. That’s 4.4 percent higher than last year.
INRIX, a global mobility analytics company, is reporting that roads will be congested starting this Wednesday through the weekend with Thursday being the busiest day for most cities. If you’re traveling to major cities, you can expect some major delays. Also, they predict the roads anywhere from two to four times busier than average.
