Citizen complaints lead to drug arrests in Columbus County

TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) - Numerous complaints from citizens sparked an investigation that led to the arrest of three people on drug-related charges Friday, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office announced.

After getting complaints about suspicious activity in the 5700 block of Swamp Fox Highway East, the sheriff’s office started an investigation and conducted undercover narcotics purchases.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office’s vice-narcotics unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant on a resident on Swamp Fox Highway East. Theresa Ann Malloy and Henry McKnight were arrested and four firearms, marijuana and cocaine were seized.

A search warrant also was executed in the 4700 block of Wright Road. Jeramie Jordan was arrested while marijuana and Oxycodone was seized during the search.

1 felony count of Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep a Controlled Substance

1 felony count of Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number

Jeramie Jordan

Charges:

1 misdemeanor count of Possession of Marijuana

1 misdemeanor count of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance

1 misdemeanor count of Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep a Controlled Substance
