FEMA leaving New Hanover Co. disaster recovery center today; debris collection wraps up

FEMA recovery center set to close

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - FEMA will be leaving the disaster recovery center located at Independence Mall in Wilmington at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.

In its place, the Small Business Administration, Hope4NC Crisis Counseling and NC Emergency Management Individual Assistance will be open at the mall starting Friday, Dec. 21 through the end of January. They will help residents effected by Hurricane Florence update their records to continue to get assistance. They will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

In addition, June 14 is the deadline for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan. For more information, head to their website.
