Carolina Beach extends Freeman Park discounted permit deadline after recent storms

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Due to recent weather events, The Town of Carolina Beach announced on Friday it has extended its discount deadline for 2019 Freeman Park vehicle permits through December 31, 2018.

Freeman Park is a popular beach attraction where visitors can drive on the sand to enjoy swimming, camping, fishing, or boating.

The “early bird” price for a vehicle permit is $100. After Dec. 31, the permit price will be $200.

The original time frame to buy the discounted pass was Dec. 1 through Dec. 15.

Annual Permits are valid from January 1st through December 31st. Access passes are required year round and must be displayed 24 hours a day.
