WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Families had the opportunity to get pick free Christmas gifts at the Wrightsboro United Methodist Church Christmas extravaganza Saturday.
Children were able to make crafts, pick out presents and wrap them along with writing holiday letters to soldiers and telling Santa what they want for Christmas. Parents were also able to pick out gifts for their kids too.
Wrightsboro United Methodist Church mission coordinator, Christi Tate, said they’ve been collecting donations for this event since January.
“This is the season of giving and what better way to give back to the community by helping kids with their family and the moms and dads shopping for their kids and showing love for everybody around," Tate says.
Everyone was welcome. The event was 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
