DUBLIN, NC (WECT) - Through the lens of a camera, Sabrina Sasser said she believes her second grade students will have a greater appreciation for diversity and tolerance.
“Children must be guided at a young age to treat all people with equality,” Sasser said. “I understand in order for students to internalize this concept, they need to see what it looks like in real world applications.”
Through Donors Choose, Sasser, a second grade teacher at Dublin Primary School, is trying to get two instant photo cameras.
“I would like to have two cameras and packages of instant film available for use by the students and myself in our classroom,” she says. “The instant film will build excitement in every activity showcasing our diversity and tolerance.”
