FEMA disaster recovery center closing in Bladen County

FEMA center to close Thursday

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WECT) - A Bladen County disaster recovery center is closing this week, but individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Florence can still register for assistance before the Dec. 13 deadline.

The Bladen County Agricultural Center FEMA location at 450 Smith Circle in Elizabethtown will close permanently at 6 p.m. Thursday.

To register for disaster assistance without going to the center, call 800-621-3362 or 800-462-7585 from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. seven days a week.

Registration can also be done online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by downloading the FEMA or ReadyNC apps.

To find centers that are open and their hours, download the FEMA mobile app, the ReadyNC app, or visit FEMA.gov/DRC. Center hours and operations are adjusted based on visitor demand.

Centers are open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday until further notice.
