WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An officer with the Wilmington Police Department becomes an honorary member of one cheering squad.

The officer stopped by a fundraiser for the Wilmington Eagles cheer team this weekend to show his support.

The cheerleaders are raising money to go to Virginia Beach for a regional cheer competition.
