WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - One of the Cape Fear’s longest running holiday traditions kicked off this week.
The Lower Cape Fear Hospice is hosting its 32nd annual Cape Fear Festival of Trees at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
Last year, nearly 50 uniquely decorated trees were places all throughout the aquarium for the public to see.
Each of the trees are sponsored by local businesses or individuals.
The event is a way to raise money to assist with patient care at the hospice center.
The event runs through Dec. 30.
