WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) - The Town of Wrightsville Beach is sharing some guidance on where and where not to park before Saturday’s North Carolina Holiday Flotilla Boat Parade and Fireworks Show.

Signs will be posted on the following streets reminding people not to park on the pavement:

  • North Channel Drive
  • Island Drive
  • Shore Drive
  • South Channel Drive
  • Point Place
  • Live Oak Drive
  • Lindy Lane
  • Jasmine Place east of Live Oak Drive
  • Myrtle Court

Vehicles obstructing a portion of the roadway block access for emergency vehicles and during the flotilla, this problem is of particular concern on the narrow streets of South Harbor Island.

Improperly parked vehicles will be tickets and/or towed.

Flotilla events begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and the fireworks show is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
